Paul Childers - the Beginnings:
“I was sitting on the couch of my condo. The blue, green water of the Pacific was glistening below. I was asking God some questions. How can I be changed? How can I be more like you? A thought flashed through my mind, “Memorize the whole New Testament!”. After almost choking on my coffee, I felt impressed that the Lord was encouraging me in that direction. So I decided to make the effort.”
Paul Childers is co-founder of Word By Heart. In 2017 his wife Susi also completed the Word by Heart training, learning the Gospel of Luke in German. Together with their 3 children they live in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
Paul originally comes from New Zealand. He has always been passionate for the Word of God and has performed whole books of the Bible at a young age. Recently he has learned much from Word by Heart Co-founder Bruce Kuhn and presents the Word with warmth and a personal connection.
Paul has also founded A Voice for the Voiceless (media oriented advocacy organization) and has had a long career with YWAM (Youth With A Mission).
He is the Campus Director at YWAM's University of the Nations campus in Kailua-Kona, HI, USA and has visited over 75 countries with his work.
